A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve a departure date for all hiking /biking hut trips.

The remaining balance for your secured hut trip is due no less than 30 days prior to your departure date. Route maps and hut lock combination code cannot be mailed to a client until full payment is received and all paperwork is turned in to SJHS.

Unless you book all 8 spots in a hut, you may share the hut with other groups.

In the event of circumstances outside of San Juan Hut Systems, Inc. control, including but not limited to, significant weather events, pandemic or health/safety emergency, forest fires, public lands closures, new governmental rules, regulations, or requirements, or any other unforeseeable circumstances etc., that could prevent your scheduled route from operating, San Juan Huts reserves the right to reschedule your trip to a different date or comparable route.

All participants will read and abide by the guidelines outlined in the Bikers’/ Hiker’s Bible.

All payments made to San Juan Hut Systems are non-refundable regardless of travel, weather, personal issues, unforeseeable circumstances, or medical issues. If you are unable to make it on your hut trip for any reason, you are forfeiting your payment.

Credits are not offered on weather related conditions.

Credits are not offered for incomplete trips. If you need to leave the route call our office (970-626-3033) A.S.A.P so we can help you rejoin your group or get back on the route.

Your signature and initials indicate your agreement to the following policies regarding cancelations and date changes:

You may reschedule your trip one time to any other available dates within the original booking season or the following season. All reschedules, regardless of reason, must be made 30 days or more before your start date.
Trips rescheduled for the following season from the original departure date are subject to rate increases.
San Juan Hut Systems does not issue refunds or credits for incomplete trips, regardless of the reason.
In regards to Group Discount reservations, no credit is offered for the “free” rider/hiker in a group and these "free" riders/hikers cannot reschedule independently. If a “Group Rate” group splits into two groups, riding on different dates, they lose the “free” rider/hiker.
Trips cancelled for ANY reason within 30 days of a start date are forfeited. This includes medical, work, or family emergencies.
You are responsible for the full payment of the number of spots you originally book for.
Unlike most San Juan Hut Trips, Tour of the Canyons trips can be rescheduled due to significant inclement weather 3 to 7 days prior to your trip start day. ‘Significant inclement weather’ is defined in this agreement as a higher than 30% chance of precipitation with lows below 40 degrees Fahrenheit as forecasted by NOAA Weather.
