
(1). Skiers’ Bible
Please make sure everyone in your group reads The Skiers’ Bible before your trip. This reference guide lists our Policies & Procedures, includes information for Planning Your Trip, talks about some things to expect On the Route, what you will find at The Hut & Hut Etiquette, as well as suggested Packing Lists. The Appendix provides suggested lodging and transportation/shuttle contact information. Download the Skiers’ Bible and/or print this guide to bring with you. (2). Food Drop

If you would like to add on a food drop, we need at least 30 days notice from your start date. The weight of your food drop can be no more than 30 pounds and the volume must fit inside a 5-gallon bucket. Please call the office to add on your food drop(s) over the phone or email us at info@sanjuanhuts.com with which food drop/s you would like and requesting us to charge the card on file.
(3). Dog Friendly
We are dog-friendly! Please make sure you read through our Dog Policy if you are planning to bring your 4 legged best friend.
(4). Interactive Ski Huts Map – Google Earth
Check out The 3d Ski Huts Map on Google Earth to help visualize your routes. This shows Last Dollar Hut, North Pole Hut, Blue Lakes Hut, Ridgway Hut, Burn Hut, and Spring Creek Hut.
(5). Download Your Route Files
Before beginning your trip, you will want to make sure you’ve downloaded the route files for each hut you’ve booked. This includes GPX files for your mapping apps or GPS device, the written route description (print this), and PDF map files. If you’re planning to traverse between multiple huts, make sure to download the files for the routes in between them. Expand the corresponding sections below to view and download the files.

(6). Check the Weather and Adjust Your Kit
The day before the start of your trip, check the weather and adjust your kit accordingly. This is a good time to think hard about every single item you bring and see if you can consolidate group items. Usually less is more.
