Spring Creek Hut
Fat biking is the newest hut option we have to offer. The over-sized bike tires allow you to ride on packed snow. This is a great option for riders who want to get out in the mountains in winter, skier types waiting for the real ski season to start, or people looking for remote bike adventures.
It is also a great hut to get some cross country skiing miles in.
Our food options have dry food items available that you will want to supplement. Please feel free to give us a call to help with the planning of your Spring Creek hut adventure.
*Please take into consideration that fat biking is more weather dependent than any of our other trips. If it snows a foot of new powder or warms up and turns the snow isothermic, you will not be riding anywhere. Because of this reality, the fat biking trips to Spring Creek Hut are the only trips we include a 100% refund due to bad weather. You can check the grooming status at CSA Trail Grooming under the Uncompahgre Plateau.
Located around 20 miles outside of Montrose or 27 miles outside Ridgway (depending on the chosen route). The Spring Creek hut sits tucked into the Uncompahgre National Forest. This hut is ideal for cross country skiing & fat-biking.
